Poppers were originally meant to heal angina pectoris.
Because of their vasodilating effect poppers originally were used in the health care, e. g. regarding the medication of angina pectoris (heartaches caused by circulatory disorders). Attention should be paid to the fact that poppers should not be used in combination with other vasodilatory agents. Also viagra and other erectile dysfunction treatment medications should not be used together with poppers. Poppers can be characterized by only a short-term duration of effect. So that is why they can not be classified as a curative medicine. Beyond that the scientific community in general has found out other more effective angina pectoris medications.
